I "assume" he means reporting it as fraud to the credit card company
that was used to make the purchase.? That process can be a PITA.?
Going down this road is straying way off topic. So, no more post

I have? a friend who, a couple of years

buy a hand full of toys. After the deal he rented a self-driving

Re: Check this out – walmart online shopping vevor lathe - Bing - Shopping
There is quite a selection of 7X12 and 7X14 lathes from under $500 and up. I haven’t tried to dig out the specifications as yet but I would start searching with those lathes. The 8X lathes seem to me to be a streched version of the 7X family, increasing capacity without increasing strength or rigidity. Ever run a lathe that has been blocked up to increase the swing? It is the home of chatter! The good news here is that Wally World has the economic clout to ensure a reasonable quality and (I believe) the marketing expertise to do so. This may herald a new chapter in story of home model engineering. Stay tuned!?? Bill in Boulder CO ? ? Sent from for Windows 10 ?

Actually I ordered my lathe online and received?it by shipment through UPS. Did the same thing for a milling machine shortly after that. Floyd

I have a Cummins also! I got it from my neighbor when he decided he was too old to safetly operate his machine tools. I also got my Clausing 8520 verticle mill and a Chraftsman 12x36 lathe and lots of tooling and lots of good stuff. ? ?

Re: Different Prices - such a range-Here is low price on a name brand
??????????????? Well just to start: this lathe is located in Arlington Texas, midway between Dallas and Fort Worth. Not far from the airport if you wanted to fly in for a look!? ;<O ?As far as can be told from the pictures it is well equipped and cared for. But there are lots of things you cannot see. It is worth a day’s drive IMO. On your scale this could be a 3!?? Bill in Boulder CO ? Sent from for Windows 10 ?

My experiences of cheap and cheerful Chinese products with a? few exceptions is that so long as one does not expect too much one will not be disappointed. However a 1:3 price difference for obviously the same product is not usual.

??? ??? I gotto think that Covid hit them pretty hard . I live
outside of a town of @ 2500 in northern CA & they usually stop
by & then spend a day or two at out next big town of @ the
same
population . In the past their prices have been a bit higher than
HF , but it saves a 90 mile round trip .
