Re: AUDIO OUT node not working?

Have you tried updating the node? Or create a test tab and use the inject to trigger a message to the audio?

In my case the event of detecting a lightning strike occurs long before it matters to me. I trust the shut down process. So I send a email with a time stamp. Then I can review the events later. You know I am not always in front of my daashboard.

Just another mouse trap.

Re: OM Module Flow

Hi there,
?
I?m using the OM Module to switch stackmatches, but it works only with the windows tool for me. I?m not so deep into nodered that I?ll be able to program this.
The other side is, that it should not take such big space on the dashboard. I?m running Apple devices, IPad, IPhone, MacbookAir, all with relatively small displays.
Does anyone have a working flow to control the outputs and is it possible to activate them per Band like in windows tool?

The WiKi on this site has a step by step tutorial on installing the OS on the Pi as well as configuring Node Red and being ready to load your first flow.

Bill,

I am a neophyte when it comes to Node Red and Raspberry Pi's.

I've started with a #310 and a #321 card here

The #310 has a Pi (a 3 I believe) already installed with several Node Red Flow's pre-installed.?

I have access to? Node Red on the Pi and plan to start adding some flow's for Flex equipment.? I was able to use one of the relays on the GPIO card so I can turn my 8600 on and off via the remote rca jack on the back of the rig.

I have a lot to learn and seemed like the Sierra Radio Modules were a good place to start.

I've also ordered a Pi 4b and 3B+ for experimentation.? This should keep me out of the bar's and off the streets for a while.

Re: Rasp Pi - What do I need?

Bill

Either a 4 or a 5 will suit your needs. Vilros has both models available. Be sure to purchase the correct power supply with the model you purchase as it will have the correct amperage. Prices are within $20 of each other.

Both models have 40 GPIO pins. Some contain voltage and some are grounds which you will not be utilizing for io operations.?

When considering a case, ensure you can freely attach any cables or wires. Some fan cases will block a ribbon cable. ?

Once you go production you may want to consider a second Pi and supply to sandbox (test machine) any new hardware or software.

Reference theWiki to get you started and creating your first image. Backup SD cards are your friend.

Re: ERC Rotor Control Error in GetNumber node: TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'trim')

Thanks, Ron.
?
Yes, I should have been more explicit with what I'm seeing.
?
As mentioned in the title, the error is in the GetNumber node.? It is barfing on the "trim" command.
?
I'm running the WB0SMX version of the ERC node (ERC_Control_wb0smx.json).
?
The only error showing up in debug, repeatedly ever 10 seconds, is the one in the title; "Error in GetNumber node: TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'trim')".
?
I have set the serial port for the Pi, and I think it's working properly but it's difficult to tell with Linux USB ports.? The serial port node shows it is in "waiting" status.
?
?

Re: ERC Rotor Control Error in GetNumber node: TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'trim')

Frank, there are several flows in the files section of the group for the ERC including one of mine. I'm not sure which one you're using and suggest you elaborate and possibly include some debug nodes to aid in? fault isolation and to identify the?node that is producing the type error. If you're running Node Red on a Raspberry Pi you'll need to update the serial port definition?for your environment. The same is likely true for Node Red on Windows should that be the case.

Capturing flexradio transmit band

Hi?
?
I? do not own a flexradio but I am helping VA2UR with his remote contest station. We want to capture the current transmit band , before starting transmission if possible.
?
I am able to capture the transmit frequency when he transmits by subscribing to "sub tx all" and I get messages like this one:
?

{"freq":14.20884,"lo":200,"hi":2900,"tx_filter_changes_allowed":1,"artopic":"transmit","ardate":"2025-03-29 14:47:29"}

?

Ignore the last 2 fields (artopic and ardate, I added those.

?

This tells me in real time the transmit frequency but we would like to know the selected band before tx happens to automatically adjust filters, etc

?

I do not own or operate the flexradio myself so I am doing this a bit blindfolded.

?

Thanks

HELP with FRStack

I have configured my FLEX6600 (XVTR settings) for use with several? transverters
144, 432, 1296 MHz¡¡¡¡.
Selecting the different? transverters from the Flex Band selector works fine i.e. the frequency,
Mode, Bandwidth, antennas etc. are saved for each Band.

Running the station Remote I have a RPI4 + I2C Relays with Node-RED + FRStack controlling the station.
When Remote I use REST Commands for band switching i.e. , 1, 2, 3¡¡¡.. ?

The Band switching works Remote but other band settings is lost ! It is frustrating to correct several setting every time you change Band.
