After thinking about the error a bit more, I realized that the GetNumber node may be erroring because it's not seeing any data at all.? That might indicate that I in fact do not have the serial port

Thanks, Ron. Yes, I should have been more explicit with what I'm seeing. As mentioned in the title, the error is in the GetNumber node.? It is barfing on the "trim" command. I'm running the WB0SMX

Frank, there are several flows in the files section of the group for the ERC including one of mine. I'm not sure which one you're using and suggest you elaborate and possibly include some debug nodes
