Error message won't go away

Eileen

Hello!? I keep getting an error message on the screen every day when I go to use my iMac. I'm running? Mohave 10.14.5.? The message is from the APP store.? I have tried a few time to delete the message, but can't figure out how to.? I've attached a screen shot of the message. I hope someone out there can help me.? Thanks!

I would just click OK and then update your system if you want to install iMovie.

I see you¡¯ve already received a response, but just to make sure you understand what Pat was saying, you say you¡¯re on Mojave (note the spelling) 10.14.5, and the Mac App (note the text case) Store says the program you¡¯re trying to install requires the next point update to Mojave to be installed before you can download iMovie.

Sorry for the spelling. I live in AZ and we recognize both ways to spell Mojave/Mohave. But I guess Apple likes the J version. ;-)?
I do understand clicking OK to close the window.? I do it several times each day. What I'm trying to find is a way to make it stop popping up altogether.?
I don't want to update my OS to the next point - yet.? I think what I'll do is just delete iMovie. I never use it.
Thanks for the replies.

If you *never* use iMovie, delete it. It's a big app (up to 3 GB, depending on version) so why waste disk space with something you don't need?
