Update - Re: [macsupportcentral] New iPad - No bluetooth

I think I got everything fixed up. ?I’ve got the MacBook Air and the iPad connected like the old ones were I think. ?I’ve got Notes going back and forth and I’ve got the Calendars updating. I think this is because I logged in and changed my passwords and they were connected via iCloud, not Bluetooth. ?I’d had this setup with different devices for many years and I’d forgotten how they worked together - also forgotten my passwords. ?

Double check you have handoff turned on for both devices. I just set this up last month and couldn't figure out why my new MacBook Air wasn't seeing the iPad. I followed the instructions at the bottom of this article, turned on handoff and all is good now.?

?Now I still can’t get the Bluetooth to work between my MacBook Air (Sonoma) and the new iPad. . It wasn’t working on the old iPad because I didn’t have enough space.? Now it’s not working on the new iPad either and there’s plenty of space.? ?(And I really used that quite a lot.)

The iPad says “This iPad is diccoverable as Becky Lindroos’ iPad (2) while Bluetooth Settings is open."

Then, same screen, where it says “Devices” the wheel just keeps going around searching.
***?
The MacBook says This Mac is discoverable as “MacBook Air” while Bluetooth Settings is open.?

And under My Devices. - “No Bluetooth Devices”? and it says “Nearby Devices”.

Cool - ?I think what happened might have been that the iPad was way over its limit storage-wise. I had made space over and over again. ?I know I couldn’t upgrade to a newer OS due to space. ?And I seemed to stop transferring the Photos and the Notes and the Calendar - the Calendar went first.. ?I’ll bet when that was happening the “on” switch went to “off” or something. So when I got the new iPad and transferred the apps etc, it also transferred the old settings which included the “off.” ? When ?I got my password in there correctly I was functioning again. ?:-) ??

I don’t think I even use Bluetooth for anything at this point - no wonder there’s nothing showing in that setting. ?LOL!. ?

Thank you! ?And have a great New Year! ? ?
