Glad to be on Groups IO
#MacSupportCentral
I¡¯ve been running four Groups IO starting in November 2000 and I am very glad that MacsupportCentral have made such a good choice - it¡¯s a tribute to Mark¡¯s dedication!
My own groups have seen a surge of Yahoo refugees! Well done to the transfer team! regards, Ian Gillis |

GyazMail 64-bit bugs
#Mail
Howdy.
GyazMail was updated to 64-bit a few days ago except several bugs found. Bug 1: Drag n Drop of an attachment to GyazMail icon on Toolbar or on Dock does not work. Bug 2: Download an attachment with right click and the Download Image command does not work. The same item can be downloaded by drag n drop to Finder window or Desktop. The Save Attachment command (right click) does work. Programmer/owner Goichi Hirakawa acknowledged bugs and says fix coming. Please be aware that all new members at are moderated by default, so any messages from them are held until accepted by a moderator. At that point?their status can be changed and future messages will go through unmoderated.? Janet, you are now unmoderated. ;) Otto On Fri, 18 Oct 2019 at 12:07, Janet Brunner via Groups.Io <janetsbrunner=[email protected]> wrote:

Features in groups.io
#MacSupportCentral
I thought it might be useful to start a thread on things that groups.io does better or differently than Yahoo Groups, or that Yahoo didn't do at all.
I'll start with moderation. By default all new members here are moderated, so their messages are held until accepted by a moderator. Once they become unmoderated, their messages go through automatically. At Yahoo a moderator would need to accept the message(s) and also separately change the moderation status, which required several steps. Here at groups.io, there is a very handy button under the list of messages held for moderation, "Accept and Unmoderate Senders". That is so sensible and saves a lot of time! Otto |

Good morning all,
Since updating both my iMac (2013) to Catalina, and my iPhone 7+ to 13.1.3 my Notes are not syncing as they use to. They still sync, but it¡¯s extremely slow, sometimes not happening until overnight while my phone is plugged in charging. I have turned off syncing on my phone (Settings/Apple ID/iCloud/Notes), which removed all my Notes. Once I turned it back on it took them hours to come back. Calendar has been having somewhat of the same issue with syncing, but not quite as bad. Any suggestions to speed up syncing would be greatly appreciated. Janet |

I suspect many forums/groups have 5-10% active?members?and the remainder just like to pick up knowledge. There's nothing wrong with being a "lurker"! Otto On Fri, 18 Oct 2019 at 03:11, Kathryn Gibson <nosbigk7@...> wrote: I believe there are many persons like me who don't have time or make |

I am usually hesitant to upgrade my MacBook Air to the latest?operating systems, in this case "Catalina," without waiting a few months in case a few?bugs pop up.
Some people have problems. Many people have NO problems. If there¡¯s no specific thing in Catalina that you urgently need, then wait. |
