Re: "widget" accidentally created???
How was it clear? You mentioned no OS or hardware, and widgets have been out for about 15 years. Sonoma was released September 2023, and you are only on the second incremental update.

Re: "widget" accidentally created???
Great info. I had no idea it was "just released." I thought it was clear I was Sonoma since this is about widgets. -- Janet

Re: "widget" accidentally created???
Sonoma is a just released OS. If it comes up, again, I would suggest calling Apple. You get free support with a new install. This sounds like a bug. I am running an OS, four OS behind Sonoma On

Re: "widget" accidentally created???
That's the problem. It's showing up on my Mac (running Sonoma 14.1.1) but when I right-click on it and select "edit widgets," the choices are coming from my iPhone. I see a number of people

Re: "widget" accidentally created???
What device is this on, your Mac or your iPhone? I can see from here. What OS are you using? What app are you in when the widget shows up? I¡¯m leaving for a doctor¡¯s appointment. I will check to

Re: SOLVED! missing Menu Bar in High Sierra
My apologies for misunderstand. I didn¡¯t understand that you had an issue and were widening the inquiry. I didn¡¯t see relation between the two. I apologize. My issue had nothing to do with

Re: "widget" accidentally created???
Yes but the screenshot would include the widget which contains all my personal email info and emails.

Re: "widget" accidentally created???
Fine googe it. FYI, you can take a screenshot of just apart of your Desktop, by using the shortcut shift, control, 4, then defining the area you want with the crosshairs and clicking. Brent

Re: "widget" accidentally created???
It's a mess. It seems to be getting these from my iPhone. There's a barometer app shown under "edit widgets" (which I have only on my phone) etc. The gmail pic comes up every time I open safari, and

Re: "widget" accidentally created???
It's a widget. I'd rather not reveal my personal info. It's just a teeny weeny pic of what I normally see when I open gmail. But it's def a widget. It has an option to "edit widgets," but that doesn't

It would be easier to identify, if you included a screen shot. Brent

"widget" accidentally created???
There's now a tiny little picture of my gmail at the top left of my desktop. I'm guessing this is an accidentally created, so-called "widget". When I click on it, it disappears into a shadowy line on

Re: SOLVED! missing Menu Bar in High Sierra
Sorry, but I need to pursue this. To be clear, it will never work correctly via HDMI on that particular TV? AirPlay to our 2012 Sony Bravia via the Roku works very well. It appears in the Mac¡¯s top

BANG! BANG! BANG! I¡¯m trying to kill the thread. First, no response for 2 days, then replies after I posted that it was solved, yesterday, the replies started. Thanks for the effort, but as I said

Re: missing Menu Bar in High Sierra
Just a thought, but is AirPlay using the Roku any use for this, or is there just too much lag? Otto

Re: missing Menu Bar in High Sierra
With various early TVs, there may or not me a workaround. I am guessing the dividing line is if HDMI versions 1.2 or 1.4 are involved. In my case, I am using a 2009 Vizio and a Late 2012 Mac Mini.
