Syncing very slow..... #Syncing

Good morning all,
Since updating both my iMac (2013) to Catalina, and my iPhone 7+ to 13.1.3 my Notes are not syncing as they use to.
They still sync, but it’s extremely slow, sometimes not happening until overnight while my phone is plugged in charging.
It doesn’t matter if I add/change a note on my phone or Mac, either way it’s extremely slow to sync.

I rely on my Notes for everything, and I do mean everything!
I have 171 notes.
I have turned off syncing on my phone (Settings/Apple ID/iCloud/Notes), which removed all my Notes.
Once I turned it back on it took them hours to come back.

Calendar has been having somewhat of the same issue with syncing, but not quite as bad.

Any suggestions to speed up syncing would be greatly appreciated.
Janet

I suspect many forums/groups have 5-10% active?members?and the remainder just like to pick up knowledge. There's nothing wrong with being a "lurker"!

I take it that you sent out invitations to *all* members (but excluding bouncing accounts) using the bulk invitation option at ??

Whatever else this?move brings, it is a great opportunity to lose dead wood! Anyone going to needs to at least click on a link.?

Re: Creating an Outlook Rule for Macsupportcentral #Mail

That baffled me too. What do a member's prefs have to do with threads?

You start a new topic (or thread) by starting from a new email. You should never just reply to an existing email then change the subject thereby “hijacking” the email. I don’t believe you can fix this by changing your prefs.

Hi

I am attempting? to set up a new group due to the Yahoo betrayal.
I just tried? in import a database (csv) but nothing happened.
I took a shot at a manual build but can't seem to make it format the way
to which my group is accustomed and when I've made errors, I can't seem to
correct or remove them without? deleting the whole thing and starting over.

Suggestions?
Like to know before I try anything else ( like importing the group/archived images, etc.).

I found the following paragraph in the following article...

“Tapping the Crop tool before making any changes triggers an analysis by Photos. Previously, this applied just straightening. Now it may also automatically apply a tilt, too. If corrections were made, an white-on-yellow AUTO button at the top appears with a dash-bordered square to its left. You can tap that button to toggle those changes off and on.”

I am usually hesitant to upgrade my MacBook Air to the latest?operating systems, in this case "Catalina," without waiting a few months in case a few?bugs pop up.

Is this somewhat prudent or unnecessary?

Some people have problems.
Many people have NO problems.
If there’s no specific thing in Catalina that you urgently need, then wait.

Thanks, Pat. I guess that replaces the undo function, then? I find the old way was easier ;-)

Separated so as not to hijack another thread.
In the specific case of MacOS 10.15 Catalina, I feel that your hesitation is prudent. Catalina is a major revision of the MacOS, what with the end of support for 32-bit apps (that’s a BIGGIE), a new division of the startup drive into System and Data, and more.
Wait and see what sort of problems are being reported by group members. You might get advance warning of a potential pitfall.

I used the Public Betas for a couple of months. There were some issues early on, but Apple did a solid job of bug squashing. Having no problems with iPadOS 13 on my 1st-generation iPad Pro.
