开云体育I don’t know, but I use an enormously helpful app I can no longer live without, called Launchbar, which includes that feature, among a TON of other useful features.Madeline On Nov 4, 2024, at 17:08, Jeannie Girard <photojeannie8@...> wrote: I have used automator for years? to set up a little app that closes all programs. macOS Maps Satellite View Oddity
开云体育I’m on an M3 MacBook Pro, still running Sonoma. In Apple Maps, the street names don’t track with the map view if I enlarge or shrink the magnification, or if I move the area viewed on screen by dragging it with the cursor. If I’m in “Driving” view, the street labels track correctly with the map.Is anyone else seeing this behavior?

Re: iPad onboard key pad hitch
开云体育True. ?The floating keyboard is only available on iPads.??As far as I know, the only iPhone onscreen keyboard movement is for the keyboard ?to shift a little to one side for one handed typing.??But it doesn’t make it vertically smaller.??You could test it, to see whether it makes any difference to the not scrolling problem, but it doesn’t seem likely.??But anything is possible :-). For those unfamiliar with it, see “Type with one hand” at: You can choose your iOS version at the top. If you don’t see the one handed keyboard options, then you may have the following setting turned on: Settings > Display & Brightness > Display Zoom >? Larger text Turn that off and then try using a one handed keyboard option. On Nov 1, 2024, at 2:29?PM, Brent via groups.io <whodo678@...> wrote:

Re: iPad onboard key pad hitch
Cynthia, Bev is correct, others may also have the problem, but not have a solution, so they stay quiet.

And there are regular contributors, like Bev and myself. I responded, with no fix or workaround, to acknowledge that you are not the only one with the issue. That a search engine came back with nothing, could be that the search phrase didn’t find a match. I, myself, find scrolling down on a phone with no external keyboard, an easy fix, now that I think of it as a fix. I have yet to look into floating keyboard, as that is not in my normal workflow. On a tiny screen it makes no sense. Brent On my iPhone Xr On Nov 1, 2024, at 06:46, Bev in TX <countryone77@...> wrote: |
Re: iPad onboard key pad hitch
It’s difficult to say how many folks have encountered this problem. Silence can mean that folks just don’t have an answer. At one point I also didn’t know of any workarounds.

Brent has the identical problem on his iPhone. I have had the same problem, but in several other apps. We are a couple of the more vocal group members. I suspect, but have no proof, that it’s more common than one might think. But it’s good to post that update in the other forum even if only one person might find it useful sometime in the future. Just say that you found a workaround of using a floating keyboard — just one short sentence. You don’t have to go into all the whys and wherefores. Just a reminder that when you post in multiple forums, an answer might be posted in only one of them. If you haven’t already done so, it’s best to personally post a reply to yourself in those other forums with the answer.

Re: iPad onboard key pad hitch
开云体育Have you tried hiding the onscreen keyboard (drag down from above the keyboard), manually scrolling, and then tapping in the spot where you want to resume editing (brings the keyboard back on screen)?I do something similar when editing Quick Notes on my iPad. ?I’m curious as to whether that also helps in your situation? iPad onboard key pad hitch
I think it is since update to 16 the onboard keyboard on my ipad does not allow the email or iMessage to scroll down as I type, so you cannot see what you are typing. It is the same whether I am in portrait or landscape view. I have done the 17 update but it is still the same. I have searched online but cannot find a remedy. I have tried using the return button to scroll down but it can only go as far as the keyboard. ? Can somebody help please, it is a nuisance. I have a bluetooth keyboard which I can use, but it is not always convenient to have to carry it around. ? Thank you Cynthia |
