Have you tried hiding the onscreen keyboard (drag down from above the keyboard), manually scrolling, and then tapping in the spot where you want to resume editing (brings the keyboard back on screen)?
I do something similar when editing Quick Notes on my iPad. ?I¡¯m curious as to whether that also helps in your situation?
The more people who report this issue, the greater the chance of Apple fixing it.
