Duplicate Calendar Holidays
I use the calendar which comes with the MacBook Air (10.14.5) but at some point in my updates I got 2 notices of each holiday in each box. Now I want to add an event/appointment for Thursday and there is too much info in the box already (two events say Halloween). I¡¯ve tried turning off all the holidays but no effect - they don¡¯t turn off. How do I do this?

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýIn Apple Mail attachments are kept even when the message is deleted. Every time I see a message from him I have to go to the Message menu, scroll down and click remove attachments.?

This topic is now moderated. I think we¡¯ve had enough of this topic. It now requires moderator approval to add messages to this topic.?

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýThere was no obscenity in my post, even though I wanted to. I am sick of having to delete his picture every time I see a message from him. Maybe it bothers me more than it does others, but I notice that Tiffany Hahn also is annoyed.

i agree, dave...replies ex context has been one of my pet peeves in groups since 1995... however, on the learning curve here with the new group...at bottom of message when i hit ?"reply to group" there is no option to quote relevant message (!) ...the option is available in the reply area located in the upper right hand corner...this oddity may be due to my old operating system, ?snow leopard, plus being on a 2010 imac. ? ?? Re: Signature images

jim, apparently not in every case...for instance, i see the post number when reading email such as this one...here's what i see at the bottom of each email i receive: Groups.io Links:You receive all messages sent to this group.View/Reply Online (#480) | Reply To Group | Reply To Sender | Mute This Topic | New Topic Mute #macsupportcentral ...as you can see, it shows that your post is number 480 ... this might have to do with my old operating system, which is snow leopard on a 2010 imac. ¿ªÔÆÌåÓýPlease quote some of the message you¡¯re replying to so we don¡¯t have to dig in the thread to find ¡°post 447¡±. It¡¯s common practice and courtesy. Dave excellent response from jim saklad in post 447. |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý
I¡¯m hesitant to prolong this discussion, given how much acrimony it¡¯s engendered, but I¡¯ll ask one more naive question. If I do find a ¡°sfw¡± potential avatar, will it bloat the size of every post I make, or will it actually be stored on the io groups servers and be ¡°loaned¡± to the posts? And, at the risk of prolonging it, I¡¯d like to note that reading this group on iOS (at least as I have it configured in iOS mail on my iPhone 11 Pro) is really painful. Every single message in a conversation appears every time a new message is posted in the topic, along with all the html links that live inconspicuously at the bottom of the message panel on a Mac, but appear as equals with the message itself in iOS. I don¡¯t know if this is the only option. Jim Robertson |

so now there are two threads on this subject? okay, i'll repeat what i said on the other one...i support the use of tiny selfies such as used by jim saklad in his signature...i wish everyone used them!...being able to see an image of the poster is significant...i'd put my image in my sig in a heartbeat if i knew how to do it...btw, it ain't about vanity; it's about connection.
