Since I don't know what changes and with what apps you wanted to make with your HD I give you the general suggestion to put relevant apps into System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Full Disk Access by clicking on the + sign.
Another thing I'd try is to Get Info on a higher level folder than you work with and grant permission for yourself for all the underlying, enclosed, folders.
