No difference. A loop is a repeat or return in both UK and?US English.
A loupe (French word) is small magnifier?used by jewellers and photographers.
They are homophones. I guessed what she meant from that.?

Ah, the difference between American and British. But Karen did not make it clear until the end. As I read it, I was thinking she meant some sort of repeat function, not magnification.
