I actually like seeing Jim¡¯s photo. ?It makes the message more personal,?and makes me want to contribute something to the discussion (though?I¡¯m still using a 2010 27¡± iMac running OS X 10.5.5). ?It feels to me more?like a discussion with people, not just barebones advice. ?Just one?person¡¯s view on it.
Thanks for the support.
Oh, and Jim, how do you remove the metadata from the photo?
Ah! A Mac Support question!
One of my most useful utilities on the Mac is the GraphicConverter app. In the Mac App Store:<> On the author¡¯s website:
<> This App is $40 shareware, but the author has a Test for Free version.
It lets you convert between almost any known graphics formats; it also does a lot of the basic editing operations, like adjusting brightness, contrast, histogram, scaling, un-skew, rotate, and of course crop.
If you want to save as JPEG (perhaps my most frequent operation with it), you can adjust Quality from 100% to 5%, and turn on, or off, many parameters, including various metadata and EXIF data.
