Hi Folks!
I simply closed all apps, then did a shutdown. Then I brought the iMac back up and the message was gone.
To further attempt to divorce myself from Yahoo!, I went to each browser that I use and made sure that Yahoo! was NOT selected as a search engine or start page. Each browser is using Duck Duck Go.
I will be sure to search for and trash Chromium and/or Chrome or Chrome based browsers. Generally I use Opera, Safari or Tor when doing financial stuff.
Should this renegade message pop up again, I¡¯ll repost.
