In my mind, the question is - what does an image, graphic, or photo ADD to the information being sought and/or volunteered?
An image indicating contact information for a member's Mac repair business is very relevant.?
Personal photos in signature lines are more relevant when people are trying to prove they're not 13. If 13 year old member on the list posted an articulate question or response, their age becomes irrelevant. If the information is accurate and well-phrased, they could be any age, any gender, from any location, etc.
So I'll ask - Jim, what does the photo of you add to your post? If it's just for the sake of it, I think you need to take to heart that there are actual reasons NOT to do it.?
I'm not opposed to it, personally. "Selfish" is choosing your own want over someone else's need, but you do what you gotta do.?

Ultimately, like I said before, when our ?storage runs out the oldest attachments will be automatically delected to make room for new attachments. By Jim adding his photo to every email really won¡¯t make that much difference because if his photo happens to be the oldest attachment it will get deleted first.
