Re: Which Wi-Fi network is my iPhone on?

Your neighbor might, but not knowing the model of your cable ¡°modem¡±, I can¡¯t say. BTW, a modem is a subset of Gateway devices. A modem is an antiquated device that modulates and de-modulates an analog audio signal. Cable service use gateways. Kind of like facial tissue vs Kleenex. Your cable gateway whether rented or owned, probably offers WiFi, unless it is old or you turned off the WiFi in it. Did you save it from your old house? That gateway might not have had WiFi.

Either way, you can still ¡°forget¡± the Spectrum Mobile and any other network on the phone. If your gateway is anything like mine, the WiFi goes down frequently, there by running up my cellular data usage. Mine is a Arris XB6, probably a couple of generations back, but still better than the pile of crap Compost kept giving me.

Brent ?

On my Mac mini running 10.15.7?

If you set your phone to connect to your Spectrum gateway, then it ignores your Amplifi.?

Except that I don¡¯t HAVE a Spectrum gateway device. I don¡¯t know whether this is the what¡¯s happening, but I know that Comcast makes the Wi-Fi routers that it rents to customers also function as Wi-Fi hotspots for other Comcast customers. So, while I¡¯m able to connect to an SSID named ¡°Spectrum Mobile,¡± I¡¯m also certain that it doesn¡¯t reside on any device that I own OR rent (I own BOTH my router AND my cable ¡°modem.¡± I¡¯m guessing that one of my neighbors is (knowingly or unknowingly) providing me that access.
