Except that I don’t HAVE a Spectrum gateway device. I don’t know whether this is the what’s happening, but I know that Comcast makes the Wi-Fi routers that it rents to customers also function as Wi-Fi hotspots for other Comcast customers. So, while I’m able to connect to an SSID named “Spectrum Mobile,” I’m also certain that it doesn’t reside on any device that I own OR rent (I own BOTH my router AND my cable “modem.” I’m guessing that one of my neighbors is (knowingly or unknowingly) providing me that access.
