You appear to be the only person having this problem. So it is unlikely to be Sonoma, but something on your systems.
Disconnect them from each other, delete all these duplicates on your Mac & reconnect them one device at a time.
This will allow you to identify which device is causing the duplicates, which you can then work on to isolate the problem.

I deleted all the duplicate playlists yesterday on both the laptop and the phone. There was an extra duplicate of the playlist on my phone this morning.
I suppose it has something to do with the fact that I play the ¡°playlist ¡° all night to help me return to sleep after my many nighttime awakenings. It helps me not to think myself too much awake to fall back asleep.
But really is there no way for it not to make a duplicate of any playlist I use?
