The authoritative source for answers to questions about SpamSieve are the folks at C-Command.? I¡¯ve found them to be supremely responsive:

According to their support page SpamSieve will work with " Apple Mail from macOS 10.13 and later."
So SpamSieve should work on your MBA just fine assuming you are using Apple¡¯s Mail.
C-Command has older versions of SpamSieve available for folks using older versions of the Mac OS.
