Tony,
Samsung Magician 7 is software, Samsung T7 is an SSD, or hardware, What model of MBPare you using and what macOS are you running?
Look at this article from Apple, as one of the replies indicates one type of cable may not provide enough power, but another type might.
Brent ?
On my Mac mini running 10.15.7?

?This is the first time that I¡¯ve heard of Samsung¡¯s Magician app. ?Also, it¡¯s not clear to me which app was backing up your Mac when the error occurred, Time Machine or the Magician app? ?I took a quick look and saw that the Magician app has some kind of migration mode, but I didn¡¯t see a backup mode, but I could have easily missed it.
Have you tried rebooting?
I do see that it¡¯s downloadable from their website (presuming that this is the same app that you mentioned.
Other than that, I would recommend contacting Samsung for support for their app. ?

I have been using the Samsung Magician T7 for about 2 weeks now and all has been well. Today it backed up my MBP and I received a popup that showed Error, click OK to Relaunch, which I did but the program did not relaunch. The T7 icon is no longer visible on the Dock. The blue light on the T7 is on but when I click on the T7 program icon on Launchpad, nothing happens. I then clicked on the Time Machine icon and clicked on Back Up Now & it completed the backup. Any advice on how I can get the icon back and open the program?
