I recommend skipping the digest and either filter group messages to a particular mailbox, or create a special email address just for groups. You get full access to formatting, if desired, and attachments. Not only that, you can also more easily deal with and reply to individual messages.

Can any list members enlighten me as to what the status is on this issue?
