Well, thanks, but what does FB messenger have to do w google meet, and what are the explicit downsides to google meet?? I¡¯ve now found some supposed advantages to it (feature-wise) over zoom, which I do use.

I have one friend who insists on using F*c*book Messenger. He is brilliant in his field, but almost computer illiterate. He has a high anxiety level, and I so I need to ¡°watch over¡±him. He uses an Android phone, which I really have no interest in learning about, and I do better on it than he does. So I keep Messenger on my phone for him.

I have a friend who wants me to download Google Meet so she can test it. I've always been reluctant to get any more involved with google than I already am. Can anyone tell me some pros and cons of doing this? I will never use it myself, and there is apparently some conflicting info on privacy. For example, from wikipedia: "Unlike business calls with Meet, consumer calls are not recorded and stored, and Google states that consumer data from Meet will not be used for?.?While call data is reportedly not being used for advertising purposes, based on an analysis of Meet's?, Google reserves the right to collect data on call duration, who is participating, and participants'?.
Bottom line, I'm just leery of it. Also, I told the friend a few days ago that I was too busy to do it right now, and then she said she'd try a few other people. So it seems the "few other people" also declined.
