Re: My New Old Apple IIe Computer
Jonathan, The 5th precinct was an electronic bulletin board run by Tom for the local Apple user group. It was free to join and Tom ran it on an Apple //e in his basement. Users dialed in from their

Re: My New Old Apple IIe Computer
Ed, Thanks for this. I miss my Apple //e. I learned to program in basic and it was so much fun. I stayed up well into the night writing code on that machine and I wish I still had it to play with.

Re: Any Apple Remote Desktop Users in the Group?
I use other tools because ARD has limitations. If you like the way ARD works, you might check out a nice tool called Screens that I use from the desktop and iOS devices. That said, ARD does not work

Re: USB C Hub to USB C
USB and USB-3 often have the same physical connector. Why would you do that? Do you have a device that has the funky flatter version of USB-3 connector? If you do you can use a dongle, or you can use

Re: USB C Hub to USB C

Any Apple Remote Desktop Users in the Group?
Does anyone on the list use Apple Remote Desktop to manage Macs? I have an issue and wanted to see if it is just my particular setup or if this the new behavior for the program. Thanks!

Thank you Jonathan! A great explanation. The audio port goes to Bose speakers. On one side the USB-C goes to the power supply, the other goes to Ethernet. On the other side one goes to an HDMI for for

Re: USB C Hub to USB C
USB-C and Thunderbolt are often conflated. Thunderbolt is basically PCI bus on a wire that happens to also be compatible with USB. That¡¯s why it is so fast. I would gather however that it is tough

Re: USB C Hub to USB C
Belkin makes one. <https://www.belkin.com/en/p/p-f4u090/> But, I wouldn¡¯t buy it because it¡¯s USB 3.0 instead of 3.1 and doesn¡¯t do power or video pass-through. I suspect the reason for them
