I am curious, are you running the latest HRD, or the last ¡®freeware¡¯ version (which was well behaved on Wine)?? I suspect the other Ham apps are native ports (mine are)¡­..

When trying to install debian it states: The missing firmware files are: b43-open/ucode15.fw b43/ucode15.fw? ? Where do I find this to download?

All the software I use comes with adequate instructions as to how to compile them. It's usually just a couple of scripts you have to run: either based around configure or cmake.
