The Local 10m Tech net
Hello Everybody, When I was living in the Portland?area about 10 years ago one of the local hams held a weekly net on 10 meters.? The main purpose was to encourage the local hams that held a Tech license to get on HF.? Did you know that it is legal for a person holding a Technician class license to operate on 10 meters using? the SSB phone mode between 28.3MHz and 28.5MHz?? The discussions were mainly technical?related to some aspect of the ham radio hobby; mostly with information for persons?wanting to upgrade to General.? I was a regular participant and even though I didn't need to upgrade I found the discussions quite interesting.?? I was wondering if there is any interest in starting a similar net here in the Klamath Falls area?? I was thinking 8 pm local time on Mondays but am open to suggestions. 73, Jim WO7V |
开云体育I'd give it a try and I'll go out and learn how to turn the radio on again and find 10m. Lisa ** The rules are a good place to hide if you don't have a better idea and the talent to execute it. On Aug 16, 2021, at 10:56 AM, Jim English, WO7V <jamesdenglish@...> wrote:

Just what I need.? Another reason to purchase an HF rig.? :)? I'm game for it though.? The biggest struggle may be interest.?
Do we have a user base to support it?? I would think the Portland
user base was much larger but maybe we can pull a bit from
outlying areas?

开云体育Great idea. This will encourage those who have a Tech license to utilize it's full potential or, possibly upgrade. Being local, a vertical would be more advantageous but, my 3 elem yagi would work. Just a little over kill, hi, hi. 73 Dan N0FQN? On 8/16/2021 10:56 AM, Jim English,
