Hello Erik and KBARA members!
Please distribute this to ANYONE in your club and all of Oregon you feel would be interested in participating.
If... - you are in Oregon,
- you're an ARRL member,
- you can operate responsibly,
- you can use a computer logging program that can generate an adi file,
You can operate as W1AW/7 as part of the 2023 Volunteers on the Air event.
If you've never been "the hunted," it's pretty cool to have people trying to work you. If you have been "the hunted," you know how much fun it can be.
We are doing our signup and band-mode scheduling via a web site called?.
To sign up, please go to the web site and sign up for an account. If you already have an account, you should use that account.
Then...
Go to the?W1AW/7 OR Second week?event and?REQUEST TO OPERATE.
I'll then review your info, and if approved, you can select time slots.

In a way, it's similar ¨C one communicates with net control using your own gear at your station and enjoy the great outdoors.? The differences I experienced from last year's event:
1) More civilized hours ¨C later start time
2) More info gathering ¨C organizers wanted the bib numbers and time
3) More team work at station ¨C multiple comm specialists assigned to allow for at least one to scribe and another to report to NCS
4) More fun at aids station ¨C volunteers at station were fun people: they dressed up in costume (fruit was the theme), and danced to music

moment. If there looking to sell the tower and it's the kind that
can "cage" a rotor I'd be interested. I've lost 2 rotors to the
winds here. I'm on my third one on a crank up pole, "uncaged
rotor".
