Daniel, By the way, you should be able to IPL CMS by issuing IPL 190 instead.? That should get you going so you can edit DMKSNT and build CP. Bob

Daniel, On your second level system, you will need to update DMKSNT ASSEMBLE, and change all of the volume references within, then build a CP nucleus and re-ipl. Regards, Bob

Now I know how to relabel a volume thanks to the help of the group. My last hurdle is that after IPL, the MAINT account cannot find CMS.. Prior to IPL, I relabeled the DASD,? updated the directory

Daniel, Just use the standalone format/allocate program.? You don't need any control cards, just answer the prompts.? You can do all eight volumes in just a few minutes.? Here is an example of
