Now I know how to relabel a volume thanks to the help of the group.
My last hurdle is that after IPL, the MAINT account cannot find CMS..
Prior to IPL, I relabeled the DASD,? updated the directory for the new labels, updated all the references in DMKSYS for the new labels and rebuilt.
The 2nd level IPL works fine, Q DASD shows me the expected volumes, but none of the users on the 2nd level can IPL CMS.
????? SYSTEM CMS????? VOLID VM50-1 NOT MOUNTED
I have missed something necessary.? Perhaps the group can further educate me?
