breakout rooms in teams
Apparently, teams has introduced breakouts - Reading their presentation on the Microsoft website, they seem to mirror zoom? Anyone in this group had the chance to test them?

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi Ge I¡¯ve given it a try.?? Less well developed than Zoom (e.g. can you move from one to another without be assigned by host)? My immediate response was it reflects the general difficulty you have with MS Teams around people who join from different Teams (with a capital T) i.e. as external participants from the main group. We also found some rather random problems of people being excluded from the main meeting ¨C and are still working to troubleshoot breakout rooms in Teams. Interesting to find out if others have similar / different experiences¡ Best wishes Simon ? Simon Wilson Director Wilson Sherriff 52 Tor Rise, Matlock DE4 3DL, United Kingdom Tel:? Hi Gerardo, Simon,
Some similar experiences - issues seem to often be about whether people have the latest update. I believe there are issues if people join on mobile too - I've not explored the detail of this. What I'd really like to be able to do is find a way of posting links to the breakout rooms in the chat for people who weren't automatically sent there. I don't know if this is something even possible though as I don't know the technical details of how the breakouts work. However, it's largely great to have this additional capability to teams. All best, Tom |
