To a certain degree, I think electronics can be discussed in a
physics group. However, the tie between microcontrollers and discrete
components are much stronger than physics and electronics.
Another point, a microcontroller is designed specifically to
interface with general electronics. I would say the discussion of Pentium
processor are much far off the topic cause these are not considered or meant
to be used in embedded systems. A microcontrollers firmware can not be
altered so much that you can run Windows on it, unless you of course alter
the whole circuit.
So simply, yes, I still think microcontroller discussion belong to
this group. Of course, if its more into specific software coding techniques
of PICs (or whatever) then a pic list would be better. But general
programming questions, microcontroller interface etc, belongs to this group
as much as capacitors and charge :)
