"I'm not exactly lost," Gen began.? "I mean, I'd heard about this place, so I kind of know where I am.? And I do have some abilities.? Quite a few, actually," he added with a self-conscious snicker as he willed the skin of his hands and feet back to normal.? "But I'm not exactly a mutant either.? So I'm not sure if I really belong here.? Or anywhere, really."? He shrugged.? "It's kind of a long story."

"I could use something to eat though," he went on, looking hopeful.? "I have money.? I can pay," the androgyne added, pulling a wad of bills out of his pocket. A wad of what looked like hundred-dollar bills.? "I've tried getting food in a few places but they always look at me funny and then call the police." He chewed on his lip anxiously.? "You aren't going to do that, are you?"

Liza listened to him and then when he pulled out the money she held up her hand, "that won't be necessary. You are welcome to come and get something to eat. If you need a bed for the night or would like a shower you are welcome to that as well."
