Hi all! Nice with the gameboy light - altho I cant visualise how it fits? Above the screen, on the screen? I had success with an IKEA USB gooseneck lamp. Yes you have to adjust for glare but ANY extra light is good in a dark (atmospheric) room. Here is how it looks.??You can see you get a round 'spotlight' effect but if you pull it away from screen no glare and some ambient lighting.? Fine 4 me. No DIY or glue or anything :D

Hi Douglas, ? I also spotted that thread, but in the end I can assure that the gameboy frontlight is a 20 minute job, whereas the sidelighting has that margin of risk-taling I'm not so fond of. Surely, the LCD field would be better lighted, but then there is also peeling back the reflective film from the original LCD... summing up: there are lots of solutions, I did my research and chose the most convenient for me. Mid-Februery the replacement light will be in the mail. PS: re GS thread, really appreciated ED comments on the AN1X, he's sort-of guru on Mastering VAST Kurzweil forum, had an AN1X and is thanks to him that we know that QY100/70 & AN1X have the same display, that is, tha AN1X sports tha backlit version: go grab a broken AN1X and srap that LCD... all the best On 20/01/21 01:42, Douglas Woodrow wrote:
