Re: Language barrier concerns

Oh yeah, definitely understandable there. And the further you go, the more money you have to pay. I've figured that out.

I've started to do that as well. Like I said, it has been whenever I hear a foreign sounding name, or the driver is deaf or hard of hearing or I'm going to a place I've either never been to or go to

Re: Language barrier concerns
When I get a name that sounds foreign, or I am going to a place where I¡¯ve never been before, I¡¯ll turn on my GPS. That¡¯s how I found out that the driver was headed back towards home.

Re: Language barrier concerns
Oh wow, I would've done that too. A lot of the times whenever I went right on our local hot bus, I will keep my GPS going just to see where all they were trying to take me before I got home.

Re: Language barrier concerns
Many of the non-English speaking drivers will know as much to say they don¡¯t speak English and leave it at that, and I get the feeling they want pity. A few years ago, I was going to a therapy

I only had one driver who had me talk to a translation app to translate from English to Spanish. Other than that I haven¡¯t had any luck. I¡¯ve actually had better luck texting back and forth with

Re: Language barrier concerns
No, they should be able to copy the text, and put it into an app and do the translating that way. It's not that hard to copy and paste someone's wording. If they can't do that, they definitely don't

Re: Language barrier concerns
Will a text that I send in English be translated into the language they speak? Many times, these drivers end up being rude.

Hi Jeff, have you tried resulting to texting the driver in this instance? This might be better results as they can use apps to translate your text into their language.

Hi guys, I am wondering how you all handle situations where your driver doesn¡¯t speak English? I have run into situations like this from time to time and the outcome has been negative more times

Go go grandparents is a phone number that you can call and some person will schedule your Uber ride for you. I believe you have to have your credit card and everything set up with them, but they

Ryan, I would be willing to put in your address on my phone and the locations that you're wanting to go to and give you an estimate price. I will tell you that these prices change from time to time.

Good morning Ryan, Using Uber with the Uber app on your iPhone is very very simple. In many cases, it is no more than three taps to go anywhere. Using it on the computer is not terribly good because
