Re: Help: Audio is pumping on bands 17 and 15.

Well, I think 3 seconds is ok... keeps you from pressing the button twice accidently and having the radio come right back on... You could probably cut it to 1 second though...

Yeah, that's probably an unnecessarily long wait. The ATTiny85 code has a couple of delays that result in the long wait. It can easily be shortened by changing these two lines:

Correct... but NOT if the ATTINY is missing but the config thinks it is!!!

If you will eventually use the 100W PA¡ yes you want 200V caps!

?

Here is a simpleton approach (there is way more to this, but just for reason):? P=IE, E=IR, so P=E^2/R ¡ so E = SQRT (P * R)¡ if the impedance were a perfect match in the circuits (it won¡¯t be), E = SQRT (100 * 50 = 5000) = 70.7V average¡ and peak is twice that so almost 150VAC!? 100V Caps won¡¯t work!

The BOM for the LPF Filter board lists all of the caps as 200V but the schematic shows 100V. The 200V and higher caps are almost non existent on Mouser or DigiKey and the few values there are $1.00+ each. Are 100V parts acceptable for 100W?

I noticed that the Hilbert filter coefficients in v66-9 don't exhibit the same structure as in v50 where the negative 45 phase shift coefficients are just the reverse order of the positive 45 phase shift coefficients.? Can you provide the Hilbert filter design files for v66-9 and v50.??

I've pushed a bug fix to the Ver66-9 github repo to get rid of the audio artifact on shutdown. Does this fix your problem when you enable MAIN_BOARD_ATTINY_SHUTDOWN?

Re: T41 Books for sale - signed copies Latest version

Keith,
It looks like about $60 for shipping alone. I only have one left. It does not seem like our signatures are worth $60.
?
How about if I scan one of the signature pages and personalize it to you n send it attachment. Then you could add it to the book w/o having to spend over 100$

Thanks Oliver.

Re: Help: Audio is pumping on bands 17 and 15.

The main board (optionally) uses an ATTiny85 to control the power rail. When you press the power on/off push button on the front panel the Teensy code executes a function (ShutdownTeensy) in which you can perform any shutdown operations you'd like before commanding the ATTiny85 to cut the power to the radio. For reasons I haven't prioritized figuring out yet, the audio processing chain exhibits a chopping or pulsing artifact after the button is pressed. It can probably be fixed by clearing the audio buffers after the shutdown command is sent. I'll test that out next time I'm in the lab.
?
I'm guessing that for your radio the BEGIN_TEENSY_SHUTDOWN pin (physical pin 2, GPIO 0) is floating because you have not populated the ATTiny85, and this floating pin is interpreted as a HIGH at some point, triggering the audio artifact.

Re: Help: Audio is pumping on bands 17 and 15.

Oliver, yes it does!
?
Howcome?
?
BTW there is still a loud "pop" when the rig is turned on. This has been there all along but was a minor issue.

Hi Al
your post said " Outside the US, international shipping applies," which suggests you'd be willing
to try international shipping.

So any idea what it would cost to send to England/Great britain/United Kingdom?

If it's not too prohibitive can you accept anything other than a paper cheque (check!).
I'd prefer an electronic payment, either a direct bank transfer or Paypal. Both of these will
cover the currency conversion charges and I'll happily add on the Paypal commision so
you're not out-of-pocket.

Regards and thanks for the interesting project

I¡¯ll check that out tomorrow and get back to you. Without a carrier tuned in the background noise pulses in a similar way. It¡¯s more pronounced on 17m than 15m.

Does this sound go away if you comment out the following line in Config.h (line 17)?
