Re: Forty-9er Toroids
Bob: I checked the schematic and the L3 inductor which is a FT37-43 has 11 turns, and L4 which is a T37-2 gets 16 turns. In my 49er kits, the L3 inductor is Green and the L4 inductor is Red. The

Re: Getting help with programing the 49-er VFO project
Glad I could be of assistance Karl. Learned something myself in programming that Arduino for you. At Jack's insistence I upgraded the compiler to V1.6.8 (I think it was .8). For some reason the

Forty-9er Toroids
I bought 2 kits in the same order with both boards labeled V1.1, but the schematics both say V1.0 dated February 24, 2014. Both schematics specify detail for L3 and L4 in Chinese, but on the Internet

Re: R1 Setting
Evidently, we are. I do know that Farrukh just started classes and I know that its a busy time. However, like you said, this has been hanging around for a long time and I'm not qualified to answer it.

Re: R1 Setting
I've posted the NE612 data sheet in the attachments section. The pin 6 L.O. input spec is highlighted. The data sheet recommendation for an external LO pin 6 input is 200mVpp to 300mVpp. Indeed, if a

Marty, Check out the 'huge' heatsink at Radio Shack and I think you can do anything except continuous key down. Get the kit with the tiny screw if you don't have one. Only the screw or bolt in the kit

Good morning Jack. Thanks for the response. I will add this information to the calibration notes I have. My bench power supply is a 30A supply which has a switch that allows 13.8 V or make it

Re: R1 Setting
Anxious to find the answer. A recent post said it should be small (forgot value), but I've found that max power output is when it's cranked up max to 4vp-p. On Aug 27, 2016 10:41 PM, "Marty Boroff

Re: Forty-9er Transmitter
Thanks for the info on switching out Q6 (8050) for a 2N3904, Marc. Have done that and Q6 works cooler now. Interesting the 8050 must have been cheaper as the 2n3904 is a very commonly used device.
