Hi Richard,
Hi all,
thank you for your message. I am still trying to solve a specific problem in imaging DSO with my dobson but apparently there was no way to manage it. My system is SC with Nexus DSC. I know that the various drivers work with AN only and it is an option to get it but in have a major issue in imaging DSO. Essentially after some minutes I need to recenter the target so I have to stay in front of the PC all the period I image. I cannot fond a way to let the telescope centered in a specific target. How du you manage this aspect with your setup?
Thank you everyone.
Filippo

After my 2 star alignment last night I set the Argo Navis to 'From Planetaruim" and retired to my recliner.

My UC18 dob "system" then sat out on my deck in range of my wifi and performed flawlessly.

The ServoCAT and powered ground board provide the rotating power contacts and motion control with perfect interaction with Argo Navis.

There is something very satisfying about all these systems working together to give me this remote observing capability.

In addition to these systems that grant me remote imaging capability, the Argo Navis has a second serial port that will give you lots of details (can tell you where is the telescope pointing at the instant in time for your data needs), my Eagle4S supports web query to report the SQL of the 5 degree section of the sky where the telescope is pointing, the temperature, humidity, dew point, Battery voltage, current consumption, remaining power of the battery, GPS parameters.? I then copy every parameter of the Mallincam camera (about 35 parameters) with one button click and paste into a MS Access database along with the file name of each image I capture.? I am still working on capturing the focus motor position index.? I have already characterized the relative focus position for each of my filters so I can "perfectly" set the focus if I ever remotely change filters.

In summary, I am having more fun that a human should be allowed to have.? I can remotely slew, focus, change filters, read and store all my sensor data.

Thanks to all those subject matter experts that have enabled me to have such a fun hobby.
