First, very sorry for what you¡¯ve gone through. I believe the greatest loss is the loss of your love and passion for these bikes. This obviously has soured you and regardless how you recoup your money, ridding yourself of that feeling is the challenge. I realize you¡¯ve spent a lot of mental energy on this but once you get the parts, maybe take some time to figure out how to recoup some positivity out of this. If you were to find someone close that wants to take these over and complete them so you¡¯ll be able to share in that person¡¯s excitement and pleasure as he (or she!) brings them back. Maybe if you can sell them locally or to someone you have a connection to or be able to develop a connection.
No doubt you want to recoup as much money as you can. Hopefully you can do it in such a way that you also recoup some of the mental and emotional energy this person cost you as well.
Or, buy a keg or two, a pile of bar-b-q, and announce a tech day! Or 4-5 tech days.
And whoever this person is, I¡¯d out them. Too often I see where people have a bad experience yet do not feel comfortable naming the incompetent person.?
