My use case....
I find an event in OW I want to observe. If the path is over my "home", I will just observer from there, otherwise I will use the map function to see if the path goes over any of the "mobile sites" I have saved (I have over 20 local area sites). If I find a mobile site I want to use, I then go back to the OW event summary, right click on the event, select "add to My Events" and pick the mobile site from my list of pre-saved sites. Ok, probably nothing odd about that.
If I select an event (single click it), the path map at the bottom of the screen is updated with my new location. If I hover over it, it always indicates my home location. I would like it to display the name of the mobile site. This way, if I revisit my list, I don't have to open the map and find my location (which by the way, will still indicate my home location if I hover over it).
If it is a matter of privacy, then the software doesn't have to show MY location the same as it does for others. All my personal site information is available to OW, so when I am looking at MY data, I would love to see as much info of my own as possible. If i hover over someone else's site, sure, only tell me what they want me to know.?
Which brings me to the second question.? I thought I read somewhere that if i set my sites as "preferred mobile sites", those sites would show up on a map (?). well, if I double click an event, a map is loaded, but there isn't any indication of the locations of my mobile sites. So, on what map can they be seen, if what I read is true. Having my mobile sites available on the map would make is a lot easier to identify if any of them are candidates for a specific event.
I guess one possible response is, wait for the cloud version. LOL
Ok, that's all I have for today, I'll go away now.
