Great Information guys! After this and all the other great feedback I have gotten; I am leaning towards something like the 9X60 and likely mounting it near the main eye piece with a counter weight.

Yes, The dove tail mount base is the same. Stellarvue also offers a "raised" version which I use on my 11" scope to get above the upper OTA ring. Both bases shown here. [image: finder-mount-10x50.jpg]
