Phil, thanks?for posting this and for pointing to the comments section.? This was really enjoyable to see -- although some of the comments leave a little to be desired.
I can understand that someone in the UK would find Montana or Idaho or the Columbia River Gorge to be a bit challenging, from a shadow perspective, not having normally to deal with very high geographic features.
Looks like I will have an opportunity to ride to a relatively high point with very high trestles and vertical drops in the White Mountains in New Hampshire on Sunday -- have to be prepared for snow, though.? One never knows what to expect at this time of year.
