Early 90s, Butterfield light rail station, Sacramento, California, Siemens LRV and SP GP9s on the Folsom Turn. When Sacramento's light rail system was first built, Butterfield was the east end of what is now called the Gold Line. The light rail train is at the end of the line as SP's Folsom Turn comes by.
In the 30 years or so since I took this. the light rail line has been extended to Folsom and the GP9s were replaced with newer Geeps, GP15-1, GP38-2, GP40-2 and/or GP60 in various combinations and, now, SD70s and SD59MXes, and today is a UP operation.
