Question for the experts
开云体育Gents,
I’m trying to neaten up the back of the rack panels and make some order out of cables and such.? One thing I’m struggling with is what to do with a half dozen or so small-ish, lightweight accessory boxes that keep sliding around (and off of) the shelves
every time I need to attach/remove/move a cable—things like the network switch, USB hubs, and several monitor power supplies (~3in. vy 3in. and 1 inch thick with AC power cable in, DC power cable out).? Every push or pull of a cable sends them scurrying, and
they can’t be stacked neatly without falling over.
?
So what do you folks do to mount these little devices?? None have mounting holes.? I can’t find any brackets made for holding them, but not knowing what to call such a device, I may not be searching for the right thing.? I’ve tie-wrapped a USB hub to a
rack rail—not elegant, but it works.? But that doesn’t work well for the monitor power supplies.?
?
There must be a common solution to this.

开云体育Hey Tom, I tried some two sided tape on the power supply hockey pucks, but it wouldn’t hold (the AC cable is pretty stiff, and even a slight tug on the AC cable would pull the puck loose.? ? What kind of tape are you using?? Maybe I’ll try again with more/better tape. ? UW ? From: [email protected] <[email protected]>

开云体育Dave, ? Try some of the Command Velcro strips on the bottom. You can still move it if necessary and it will come off if you want to change it around. ? ? From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of KE4UW Dave
