Re: Question for the experts

I need to unify cables also.? I think Velcro tie wraps might be the answer. ?

Subject: [N4N-Field-Day] Question for the experts

?

Gents,

I¡¯m trying to neaten up the back of the rack panels and make some order out of cables and such.? One thing I¡¯m struggling with is what to do with a half dozen or so small-ish, lightweight accessory boxes that keep sliding around (and off of) the shelves every time I need to attach/remove/move a cable¡ªthings like the network switch, USB hubs, and several monitor power supplies (~3in. vy 3in. and 1 inch thick with AC power cable in, DC power cable out).? Every push or pull of a cable sends them scurrying, and they can¡¯t be stacked neatly without falling over.

?

So what do you folks do to mount these little devices?? None have mounting holes.? I can¡¯t find any brackets made for holding them, but not knowing what to call such a device, I may not be searching for the right thing.? I¡¯ve tie-wrapped a USB hub to a rack rail¡ªnot elegant, but it works.? But that doesn¡¯t work well for the monitor power supplies.?

?

There must be a common solution to this.
