Trouble is the UK population appears to have a portion of the population ?of me me me people - all intent on doing exactly as they please and the greater good is not at the forefront. PM Johnson has a handle on that. Knows if he tried to use Aussie method there¡¯d be war in the streets.?
Aust population on the other hand ?has been criticised in some quarters for herd mentality, but for the most part population has banded together, listened to the PM and done what¡¯s required¡ (and same in NZ) ..,not that we like it and there¡¯s a deal of rattling going on about Aus citizens not being able to get back home and when are we going to be able to travel again.
A scientist said the other day zero covid for Australia an impossible dream and the moment planes are back there will be cases. It¡¯s not going away any time soon.
Aust not been at the forefront of getting vaccine etc either.
Comes of being arse end of the world I suppose. PM has ordered but then there¡¯s only been a trickle arriving.?
As I said unusual times we live in. Govts are having to wing it on best advice and circumstances at the time.?
So it¡¯s holidays at home for us still.?

I think Govts everywhere made mistakes at the beginning of the pandemic ¡ªall unknown territory¡ª and in a hurry to get things running immediately for public expectation bound to happen. ?Yes deplorable though that the checks and balances were missing.?We¡¯ve not had quite the same down here, but some instances, but then we haven¡¯t had to be dealing with such a vast problem as UK.
