Re: Hi

You've helped me, you don't know how much.!! Wish I could fly down & help Jude & Peter, but the flight insurance would bankrupt me

This has been going on for centuries. Typically these people are cowards inside. They will only pick on weaker people or when they are in groups.
Joseph Merrick had to wear a hood & he could barely walk. The kids picked on him. He was a devout Christian & despite no formal education made elaborate matchstick models of buildings

When we were first in Australia ?there were three of us from the same family group in the same school.
My eldest half brother was a rather chubby lad to put it mildly and was getting bullied at school.
I wandered over in the playground one day when I saw the culprits in a group ?around him and I said ¡°Ok and what are you lot up to then¡±... bit of shuffling amongst the little turds. ¡°I said ¡°Leave my brother alone do you ?hear me - or do you want me to go speak to your parents. I bet your mother would be none too pleased (pointing t them) ¡±¡.and as they were shuffling off I pointed to each of them and gave them the eye-see-you sign with the fingers and said in as menacing a tone as you¡¯re ever likely to hear ¡°And I know where you live¡±. :-) :-) Gave them the ¡°she who must be obeyed attitude".

He never had trouble again, but I did overhear one of them telling another lad ¡°Watch out for her she¡¯s mean¡±. I was 11 at the time.?

Apology seems to be a dirty word for some groups of people. ?I remember telling my boss some time ago that I had apologised to a colleague for arguing with him; the response was, ¡°Never apologise, it¡¯s a sign of weakness.¡± ?Tommyrot!

Apologising, for me, is the only way for people and relationships to survive.

Bullying is everywhere. I don¡¯t put up with it. I recently had a long term friend be utterly rude to me in front of a group of people at her place when I had called in to fix equipment at her specified time! ? I didn¡¯t make a scene. Made polite excuse and left. Walked up the road and phoned husband to pick me up. I later told her I wasn¡¯t speaking to her she needed to apologise. Some time has elapsed and I just got an email 90% of which was about her. She just hasn¡¯t got it and just showed herself up.?

Very disappointing.?
