Just been watching "Australia on Fire: Climate Emergency". When you saw the film of it, it brought home just how devastating it was.

When I¡¯m working on a project I tend to make a folder with the project name so I can recognise it later. Everything related to that I put in that folder container While I am working on it. Soon as I¡¯m finished I file it in documents and if it¡¯s an ongoing for someone I file it under that name. Web page stuff of course is always in a site folder in Documents.?
I do occasionally have a bit on the go and I make a ¡°Tidy up¡± folder - I put AA Tidy Up if I want to clear in a hurry but I do make a point of going back and sorting I don¡¯t just leave it there.
I think it slows ?the Mac particularly booting if there¡¯s too much on the desktop. I like a snappy start up.

I¡¯m keen to keep my desktop tidy and I like the fact that it¡¯s on my iCloud Drive as well.?
But I do have to keep 'weeding' it to keep it tidy.?

?I had a visit to a opthamologist/surgeon today. ?I was having a check up on the state of my eyes as I have had macular surgery and cataracts removed and its two years since I had them looked at.? My old Dr in the field suddenly retired as the situation was untenable - it apparently was down to a full on confrontation with the man he had brought in to join the practice..... and I had no files so the new guy (the one who lost me my old Dr) was starting from fresh with me today.
In the process of doing notes bearing in mind he had never seen me before I saw a desktop that honestly left me aghast --- could barely see the desktop picture for the stuff plastered all over it and the window he was working on ...dead set it was about 6x4...Struth!! I couldn't help myself I said ?" Oh my god. What a mess your desktop is!!" ?
We have one person in our local group who persists in doing this -- and never puts things away in the documents folder.....though he's done workshops with the club about file organisation and managing a Mac. ?How many people do this do you think?? ?In this case the man had a Mac on the desktop with nothing on the screen and appeared to have that networked but the dirty mess was on a PC screen where he was grumbling about how long the fancy scanner took to send images through to the system....and no wonder with that mess on the desktop !!
He's gone a little berserk in follow up but I am going along sort of at the moment MRI as well - though rejecting his prescription as I'm allergic to everything on the list when I got a print out and he never asked me about allergies.? They could kill you not meaning to you know.?
Oh dear that desktop --- I was totally gobsmacked that a professional man who have a computer in such a state.?
