If you are using OneDrive then open OneDrive Settings, Account Pane, and see what it says about what account is associated with it and whether you have 1TB of space (regardless of what amount of it you've used).

Brian, I live in the United States, and was not able to downgrade. When I search for the phrase, Current Subscription, here’s is what the following two lines say: For one person Use up to five devices simultaneously ? If I search for the phrase, current subscription, again, it says that no more results are found. ? I also notice that although the word cancel appears in the link you provided, the name of the page it brought me to just says Microsoft Account Subscriptions. So the word Cancel is not mentioned in the title. There is an option on the page to cancel my subscription, but I’m pretty sure that if I tried it, the same thing would happen as before, and it would not ultimately give me the option to downgrade. Anyway, just thought I’d share my experience as an example, since I do live in the U.S. ?

I have no idea where you may be located, but I have had reports from Australia that the instructions don't work there.

The ones I gave are "screen reader translated" versions of the only set that Microsoft has put out to do this, so if you have no "Switch Plan" button presented to you on the noted page, calling Microsoft is your best bet.? As you've already read, these instructions are accurate and successful in the USA, at least.

I've yet to know anyone, personally, in the USA where going to this page:
is not showing the Switch Plan button provided they're logged in with the same Microsoft Account that was used to acquire M365 (or was used when setting it up when it was purchased from a 3rd party reseller).

Changing to the basic version
I tried to do this a week ago, because I think the free Copilot version is all I will need. However, following the instructions you had given for how to downgrade, I did not receive any option to do so. I would love to hear others’ experiences. I have until May, so if I still feel the same by then, I may just call Microsoft and have them help me, assuming I am still unsuccessful at completing the process on my own. Konnie

It seems that a lot of people are discombobulated by the Copilot "prompt to you, the user" letting you know it's available.? When it tells you, "Select the icon or press Alt + I to draft with Copilot," it's simply making you aware of its presence and the option to give it prompts to do what you want it to do.? John and Brian, The control 3 did bring up Contacts. I do remember this command from way back somewhere. What I got was my initials presence unknown. I have no clue what that means. My outlook.com address is not one I generally use. So, that might explain it. So, the question is when I start typing an address for a new e-mail, autofill starts pulling old addresses from somewhere and on groups.io I actually have to type to the g in groups.io before it gives me what I want. Each letter brings up something closer and closer, but not what I want. Where are these addresses coming from and those are what I wanted to clean up. I may have asked the wrong question (big smile). ? ?

Based on my experience with using Office with Copilot, I’ve never encountered a situation where Copilot appeared unexpectedly making suggestions. Also, it will never make changes to your documents on its own. You have to initiate Copilot
for any changes to be made.
