¿ªÔÆÌåÓýRichard, and anyone else As to the first S-40 speakers being a carry-over from the S-22R.. I found this: The s-20 appears to have an electrodynamic ?speaker¡. with a hum-bucking coil .. and? with ?phones powered thru a cap connected to the plate. The s-20R appears to have a PM speaker ¡. And with ?phones powered by the output transformer. I don¡¯t think I found evidence of any S-40 ?speaker¡. with a hum-bucking coil .. For anyone too young most of my 1930¡¯s consoles had ?hum-bucking coil ¡I think ? The sams stuff on bama ?for ¡°s-40¡± shows a PM speaker.. maybe dwg is for some 40A¡¯s or the 40B .. who knows? The sams stuff on bama ?for ¡°s-40A¡± shows a PM speaker.. ? But now it is late but an s-40techman? shows s-40A with an electrodynamic Cant see any manual for an? orig? S-40 ? this^^ riders shows ¡ the S-40 rev1 [lower in pic] with a ??5 prong plug to the PM speaker the s-40 rev2 [top in pic] with a PM speaker and no plug ?? this seems to contradict your statement,, but they do call them rev1 and rev2 ¡cant see a no-rev schematic ¡but then there is this next speaker? ?=ED?????? Pic of ?Front of cab has ¡°S-40¡± ? any thoughts?? ? ? see attached ?¡seems that Jensen is just pushing Alnico5 in april ¡¯45.. a bit early ¡¡.. worn out too much searching? 73 don VA3DRL ? ? The service bulletin fir the S-40a says that a field coil speaker was used in the first 1000 units. A PM speaker was used in subsequent production.? I compared the part number with the S-20R, they are different.? I thought perhaps they were using up surplus stock. ???????? =======end=== ? _._,_._,_ |
