File Directory

Has anybody tried using the new function of "File Directory?"
Using an iPad with IOS software it only allows browsing photo albums.
With a desktop computer and Windows it does not allow any files to be selected for the File Directory.

Mick -- I don't know of any such function. Are you referring to the "Upload Directory" button (called "Upload Folder" in last week's notification)?

The Upload Directory function applies only to the group's Files area. It does not allow you to upload images to the Photos section.?

With a desktop computer and Windows it does not allow any files to be selected for the File Directory.
I agree that the user interface isn't exactly intuitive.?Please see?/g/GroupManagersForum/topic/34328513#18953?and let us know if you have any follow-up questions.?

Mick,

I don't know about iPad stuff, but for Windows, the way it works is to select a directory and all of the files and sub-directories underneath.. There are no options to select only specific individual files as that is covered by "Upload file"

When you create a Directory in the "Files" section containg a file or files you cannot add further files.
It says it is optional to replace the original file but you cannot select such an option.
It always replaces the existing file.
You cannot add more files and update.

?Mick,

Adding files does work.

Navigate to the directory by clicking on the directory name you want to add the file(s) to. That will open up that directory for you. Then click on "Upload File" and the files will be uploaded into that directory.

I think you may have been selecting the "Update" icon.?
